Yummy Breakfast!

So I am amidst training for a half marathon and seem to have good days and bad days…don’t we all?!?! On the good days, I am full of energy and ready to conquer the world, but on the bad days, all I want to do is sleep and eat…too much!

Today was a good day! I tried to get out of bed at 4:30AM, that didn’t work, but at least I tried. I made it out of bed by 5AM and went to the gym. Had my pre-workout snack of apple slices with almond butter and yogi tea, and then hit the gym for my 6 mile interval run. Made it all 6 miles easily, but had a tough time keeping the 7:07 pace for 4 miles straight. BUT….I made it further than I did on the last one at that pace!! Gotta look at the positives, right? And I kicked my butt in the end anyways 🙂

I had breakfast as I strolled into work around 7:15 and boy was it yummy!

Breakfast consisted of greek yogurt, frozen blackberries, raspberries, and blueberries, grade B maple syrup, raw almond butter, and some of Fiona’s quinoa flake cereal. My tummy was sooo happy with me!

Sorry I don’t have pics, but definitely give it a try! I like to let it sit in the fridge overnight and let the quinoa flakes get a little soft, really brings out their sweetness.


Did you push yourself today? Doesn’t have to be physical 🙂
